The Hotel Senac Ilha do Boi went into pre-operation on December 26, 1978 and its official inauguration happened on March 2, 1979. Because it was a hotel-school, the design of the project prioritized the pedagogical character in order to provide students with different learning environments, to experience and practice the knowledge acquired during the courses. The praised architecture was conceived by the architects of the Senac National Department, Otávio Sérgio Morais and Victor Noel Saldanha Marinho, who worked with Oscar Niemeyer in the construction of Brasilia.
